Are you someone who has a competitive spirit? If yes and if you are motivated enough for the win, you will try to do a lot of things to get there. Although frequently saying that winning is not the most important thing, for some people it sure is and they can’t deal with a loss. It is great to be competitive, however to a certain extent, not to the point when you do no longer enjoy what you are doing.
As the majority of the people, I disagree with the people who play to win, playing to have fun is far more important. A win is not a win if it does not make you happy. Although horses are not very competitive compared to us, I think they understand what it means to have fun better than we do. We all love those horses who try to do things differently from all the others and this one surely belongs to the group.
When this horse and his rider approach the water crossing, the horse shows that he’s a bit hesitant to head into the water. But his rider is insistent, not letting him back down from the challenge. So, the horse gets closer and closer until. Could you have stuck with that leap?
The horse was uncomfortable with the situation, so he did the best thing he could think of – he followed his rider’s wishes, but in his mind, he kept both of them safe while he did it. Horses are usually afraid of the water and I believe that this one managed to overcome his fear after that jump.
At the same time, he got all the attention for doing things in a different way and also overcame his fear, which is even more important. Even if it takes some time for your horse to overcome its fear, you should work really hard with it and it can only be done by convincing your horse that there is no danger coming by the thing that they are afraid of. Please have a look at the video below and let us know what your horses’ fears are.
